How to Upgrade
- Open the Pricing page from the sidebar.
- Choose the plan you want.
- Click Upgrade.
- You are redirected to a Stripe checkout page.
- Enter your payment details and confirm.
- Your plan is activated immediately.
Managing Your Subscription
To update payment methods, view invoices, or cancel your subscription:
- Open the Pricing page.
- Click Manage Subscription.
- You are redirected to the Stripe customer portal where you can:
- Update your payment method
- View and download invoices
- Cancel your subscription
- Switch between plans
How Award Quotas Work
Each plan includes a monthly award allowance:
- Free — 100 awards per month
- Starter — 1,000 awards per month
- Pro — 10,000 awards per month
An award is one badge issued to one recipient. Whether you award via the dashboard, the API, or a bulk CSV upload, every successful issuance counts as one award against your monthly quota.
Your allowance resets at the start of each billing period (the first of the month for the Free plan, or your subscription anniversary day for Starter and Pro). Unused awards do not roll over. When you reach your monthly limit, new award attempts are rejected with a quota error until either the next reset or a plan upgrade.
Already issued badges stay valid forever
Quota limits only restrict new awards. All previously issued badges remain valid permanently — their images live on IPFS and their public verification pages stay online whether or not you have an active subscription.
What Doesn't Count Against Quota
These actions are always free on every plan:
- Creating an issuer (within your plan's issuer limit)
- Creating a badge class / template (within your plan's badge limit)
- Re-sending an existing award by email
- Recipients viewing or sharing their public badge page
- Designer time, IPFS storage, and verification URL access
