Every credential you issue comes with a downloadable PDF certificate. By default it uses a clean built-in layout, but you can design your own — a branded certificate that recipients download from their credential page, personalized for each recipient.
Choose a starting template, then customize it:
| Control | What it does |
|---|---|
| Template | Pick a base layout: Classic (bordered, centered), Modern (accent sidebar, left-aligned), or Minimal (clean, spacious). |
| Heading | The title text, e.g. "Certificate of Achievement". |
| Accent color | The certificate's primary color — pick a preset or any custom color. |
| Show verification QR code | Adds a QR code that links to the recipient's verification page. |
| Show issuer logo | Places your issuer's logo at the top. |
The preview updates as you edit, using sample data. Click Save certificate to apply it to the badge. You can re-open the designer any time to tweak it, or Remove certificate to revert to the built-in layout.
Certificates are personalized automatically — you don't type in each recipient's details. When a recipient downloads their certificate, these fields are filled in from their credential:
This means one design serves every recipient, and each certificate is individually verifiable.
The certificate is generated on demand as a PDF from the recipient's credential page (and linked in delivery emails). Certificates are vector PDFs, so they stay crisp at any size and print cleanly.
Changing a badge's certificate design affects future downloads for all of that badge's credentials — there's nothing to re-issue.
